Mark McLeod is the guy that’s been accused of stalking
Miley Cyrus. McLeod was arrested last month and booked on two misdemeanors, and then he was released.
Officer Al St. Lawrence said, “If we had heard something about this guy supposedly being a stalker or he had been charged with a felony he wouldn’t have been released.”
McLeod reportedly shows up at events involving Cyrus and he travels to see her, as well. Yikes. I don’t think I would want this creep around my child. Billy Ray needs to step it up or something.
While this toad was watching her film her latest movie, “The Last Song”, he was making “inappropriate comments” to some of the young girls watching. When approached by officers, he became belligerent, screaming and fighting the arresting officers.
This dude wants to make Miley, Mrs. Creepy Stalker Dude.
He also claims to be “great friends with Cyrus and she had asked him to come and see her.”
The report indicates that McLeod said he had “been camping at Tybee for three or four days and that he had observed Cyrus on her balcony, that he sent her special presents and that he was going to marry Cyrus and even invited the police officer to the wedding.“
Folks, this creton is still out there. Be on the lookout.

Cancer experts have put tanning beds and other ultraviolet radiation sources into the top cancer risk category. The experts state that tanning beds are as deadly as arsenic and mustard gas. Read more on this story below!
This latest study should scare many of you “fake baker’s” out there. The tanning beds, which were long considered to cause cancer have now been compared to the poison arsenic.
In 20 studies, researchers discovered the risk of skin cancer jumps by 75 percent when people start using tanning beds before age 30.
Tanning beds and other sources of ultraviolet radiation are definite causes of cancer, classified alongside tobacco, the hepatitis B virus and chimney sweeping, among others.
The cancer research study was published online in the medical journal Lancet Oncology on Wednesday, by experts at the International Agency for Research on Cancer in Lyon.
“People need to be reminded of the risks of sunbeds,” said Vincent Cogliano, one of the cancer researchers. “We hope the prevailing culture will change so teens don’t think they need to use sunbeds to get a tan.”
The lights used in tanning beds give off mainly ultraviolet radiation, which cause skin and eye cancer, according to the International Agency for Cancer Research.
The classification of tanning beds as carcinogenic was disputed by Kathy Banks, chief executive of The Sunbed Association, a European trade association of tanning bed makers and operators.
“The fact that is continuously ignored is that there is no proven link between the responsible use of sunbeds and skin cancer,” Banks said in a statement. She said most users of tanning beds use them less than 20 times a year.
But the use of tanning beds has increased dramatically among people under age 30, and doctors have seen a parallel rise in the numbers of young people with skin cancer. In Britain, melanoma, the deadliest kind of skin cancer, is now the leading cancer diagnosed in women in their twenties.
Studies have found younger people who regularly use tanning beds are eight times more likely to get melanoma. In the past, the World Health Organization warned people younger than 18 to stay away from tanning beds.
Cogliano cautioned that ultraviolet radiation is not healthy, whether it comes from a tanning bed or from the sun. The American Cancer Society advises people to try bronzing or self-tanning creams instead of tanning beds.

July 29th 2009 by Holly in Celebrities, K-Fed

K-Fed has gained a lot of weight, but that’s been true for a while now and we’ve noticed it and kind of shrugged. All the guy does is watch his kids and get paid handsomely for it so it’s not like he has to hustle to keep in shape.
Britney’s ex showed up at a golf tournament yesterday, his first event appearance in over a year, and it was even more obvious that he’s ballooned. MSNBC’s The Scoop reports that Federline is working on a deal for a reality show, as has long been rumored, and that it may focus on his struggle to drop the excess weight. As
we mentioned a couple of weeks ago, it’s thought that Britney is ok with Kevin’s plan for a reality show and that she’s agreed to let her children be shown on camera.
Sure, Kevin Federline has had his hands full, doing the lion’s share of child rearing for his sons Preston and Jayden James (not to mention caring for his kids with ex Shar Jackson, Kori and Kaleb).
So, he might be too busy to work out. But his seemingly sudden weight gain created a huge stir when he arrived at the X-Games Celebrity Skins Classic looking much heavier than he’s ever appeared.
The talk surrounding Federline’s extra pounds doesn’t involve so much how they got there, but how he might profit from taking them off — at least in media circles where there’s buzz of a weight-loss themed reality show deal for Federline.
He didn’t respond to requests for comment on the matter, but one friend of his says it would be wrong to expect Federline to admit something is in the works before the ink on a deal is dry. “He’s not hurting for money, but he’d like to make this work. He’s not going to kill anything that might be coming together by talking about it in too much detail before he’s really sure it’s going to happen.”

I would watch this, and it’s a better idea to focus on Federline than his kids. It seems so dangerous to let children get involved in reality shows, especially those open-ended shows that could conceivably last for years, like “Jon & Kate Plus 8.” Those shows really change the dynamic in the family and disrupt home life in an insidious way that is probably hard for the participants to notice. Not to mention that the children will someday have to face the fact that their childhood moments were captured for public consumption and remain available forever. I’ve seen footage of one of the Gosselin kids crying about being constipated while Kate tells Jon to deal with it because she’s shopping for a couch. How is that kid going to feel when he’s a teenager about that incident and so many other things being made public? There are enough kids involved that some of them are going to take it badly.
Going back to Federline, he will hopefully make sure his show is limited in scope and that his children are only shown tangentially. Despite all the positive changes he’s shown in his transition to overfed house dad, he’s probably still the same douche we first go to know underneath it all. I would doubt that he’ll take measures to protect the kids if it potentially limits his fame. It’s possible he’s changed though, and maybe we’ll get to see another side to great big K-Fed on his show.

July 29th 2009 by Holly in Celebrities, Mischa Barton

I’m rooting for Mischa Barton. Some of you say that she’s stuck up or can’t act or whatever, but she’s always struck me as smart, self aware, and much more together than other celebrities her age. 23 year-old Mischa wasn’t as in control as I thought, and she had a massive very public fall from grace with an admission to the hospital for a psychiatric hold almost two weeks ago. Maybe people will say they saw it coming, but it was a shock to me and I assumed that Mischa just liked to party but wasn’t into anything dangerous or excessive.
In Touch reported this week that Mischa was so out of it that she’s the one who called the cops, saying “I see tree people.” They reported that “she was hallucinating and thought she saw people hidden in the foliage outside her house in a gated community.”
Anyway Mischa is out of the hospital now and has hopefully put all that behind her. Judging from her appearance at the airport in LA yesterday, she’s doing fine. Gone is the caked-on eyeliner (liquid eyeliner is only for the lids, don’t rim the bottom of your eye with it!) and spaced-out look. Maybe this will last for Mischa and she’s learned that she can’t touch the hard stuff.
Mischa Barton is out of the hospital and plans a return to work almost two weeks after Los Angeles police say they escorted her for an undisclosed medical problem.
Spokesman Craig Schneider said Monday that the 23-year-old actress is “out of the hospital and continuing to improve in anticipation of resuming production as planned.”
He would not elaborate on Barton’s condition, but said Barton planned to report to work on the new CW series “The Beautiful Life.”
A CW spokesman for the show, which stars Barton as a pill-popping supermodel, said last week that production was scheduled to begin Friday.
[From NY
Daily News]
Star reported this week that the very bad reviews of Mischa’s latest movie, Homecoming, contributed to her breakdown and that “she is upset over her sagging career, and she doesn’t think anybody really cares about her.” Hopefully Mischa realized that people do care and is now ready to move on with her career and her life. She has a lot of opportunities and advantages that the rest of us can only dream about, and maybe she’s starting to realize that. At least she has a job to go to now that she’s out.

July 28th 2009 by Chelsea in Celebrities, Madonna

Madonna reportedly shocked people in London on Sunday as she showed her muscles and thick veins on her arms in a white t-shirt. Is Madonna overdoing her workouts? Read more below.
It’s no secret that Madonna takes exercise seriously with her two hour work-outs, six days a week…. but is it too much?
And just how did Madonna get her arms to look that way?
“Oftentimes when your body fat is really, really, low, as Madonna’s is, you’re going to see veins pop,” explained Leslie Bonci, director of sports nutrition at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. “Her body fat is minimal, and she does a lot of strength training workouts that are going to build her muscles to look more visible.”
But is it healthy?
“When muscles look that way, it’s often the result of pretty restrictive eating and dehydration,” Bonci said, noting the “pop” of Madonna’s veins mimics the appearance bodybuilders attempt to achieve for competitions.
“With bodybuilders, the goal is to be sinewy, to make everything stand out. How do you get to that goal? You restrict your fluid intake. But then you might collapse on stage.”
Madonna is currently back in London with her children Lourdes, 12, Rocco, 8, David Banda, 3 and new adopted tot Mercy, 4, after traveling around Europe with them in her Sticky And Sweet tour.
So what do you guys think… do you find her arms disgusting or think she’s just in great shape?

July 28th 2009 by Taylor in Celebrities, Kelsey Grammer

The man convicted of one of the most repugnant crimes in show business history was one more denied his freedom today.
Freddie Glenn, 52, who is now serving life in a Colorado prison for the 1975 rape and murder of actor, Kelsey Grammer’s sister, Karen, was denied an early parole for the crime. The actor was prevented from attending by bad weather, but instead sent a letter that was read to the court.
Addressed to Robert Russel, the now retired Colorado DA who put Glenn behind bars for the crime, the note made it clear that the mental scars from Glenn’s crime are still fresh in the minds of the family. “I am saddened that I missed this opportunity to be at the hearing,” Grammer wrote. “I only hope that it does not result in turning things against my sister or the victims in this case.”
Kelsey, 54, went on to portray his sister as “smart, good and decent,” and explained the depth of the trauma that Glenn’s crime had caused. The actor recalled that, on the night of her murder, the 18-year old Karen was excited about an upcoming visit to Florida to see all her folks.”Instead, she was abducted by a group of animals. She was raped by them, savaged by them, and finally butchered by them.” Grammer wrote. “This is a butcher. This is a monster. Is it possible for him to live on the outside without returning to his old ways?”
And the Grammer family is no stranger to tragedy; In 1971, Kelsey’s father was murdered in the Virgin Islands, and two of his stepbrothers later died in a fluke shark attack. But his sister’s loss causes Kelsey great pain. ”She had so much to live for. I miss her. I was her big brother; I was supposed to protect her. It destroyed my Grandmother, who died three years later. My Mother was broken by it, and continues to live with a grief that has colored her remaining years.”
Some would counsel forgiveness and Kelsey has tried, but with little effect; “Forgiveness allows me to live my life. But I can never escape what happened,” he wrote. “I can never accept the notion that he can pay for that nightmare with anything less than his life. We all make choices. He made his. Surely a man who has killed so many must never take a single breath as a free man.”
After a brief deliberation, the Colorado Department of Corrections denied Glenn’s parole. Spokeswoman Katherine Sanguinetti said Glenn won’t now be eligible again until 2014 – when he’ll be almost sixty.

July 28th 2009 by Brooke in Celebrities, John Travolta
John Travolta was rumoured to have grown disenchanted with the bizarre sci-fi religion after the death of his son Jett in January. But his representative Paul Bloch claims the star’s faith is as strong as ever. Bloch told People magazine: "There’s no change in the relationship between the Church of Scientology and John. He is a member and it’s as it was, now and forever."
Rick Ross, a US author and lecturer on Scientology, said: "There have been strong rumours coming out of Scientology that John Travolta is disappointed the religion was not able to help his son more. "I think it would be very difficult for John Travolta at this stage to extricate himself from Scientology. It would be a huge move on his part because Scientology keeps files on its celebrity members containing embarrassing personal information about them. "And Scientology has proven in the past that it has a penchant for releasing that information to embarrass people who have left and who have said things it doesn’t like. That’s why I think Travolta will want to keep his problems with the Church private." One can only hope that John comes to his senses and leaves the alien tribe! Source: Bang Showbiz. July 27th 2009 by Chelsea in Celebrities, Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson’s personal doctor administered a powerful anesthetic to help the pop star sleep, and authorities believe the drug is what killed Michael Jackson. Read more on the latest on Michael Jackson’s death probe below.
A law enforcement official told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because of the ongoing investigation. The official stated that Michael Jackson regularly was given propofol to sleep. And June 25, the day Jackson died, Dr. Conrad Murray had given the singer the drug sometime after midnight.
Although toxicology reports are pending, investigators believe that propofol caused Jackson’s heart to stop, the official said.
Dr. Murray, 51, has been identified in court papers as the subject of a manslaughter investigation and his office and a storage unit was raided in Houston last week. Police say Murray is cooperating and have not labeled him a suspect.
Murray’s lawyer, Edward Chernoff, has said the doctor “didn’t prescribe or administer anything that should have killed Michael Jackson.” When asked Monday about the law enforcement official’s statements he said: “We will not be commenting on rumors, innuendo or unnamed sources.”
Murray was hired on as Jackson’s personal doctor in May and was to accompany him to London for his shows that would have started in July. Dr. Murray was living with Jackson in a rented LA mansion.
Murray’s lawyer, Edward Chernoff, said Murray found Michael unconscious in his bedroom the morning of June 25. Murray attempted to revive him but could not.
Police searched Jackson’s home after his death and found propofol and other drugs, an IV line and three tanks of oxygen in Jackson’s bedroom, and 15 more oxygen tanks in a security guard building.
Propofol is said to depress breathing and lower heart rates and blood pressure. Because of the risks of this medication, it is to only be administered in a hospital. Instructions on the drug’s package warn that patients must be continuously monitored, and that equipment to maintain breathing, to provide artificial ventilation, and to administer oxygen if needed “must be immediately available.”
Jackson was said to have problems sleeping and the official said he used various doctors to administer propofol. Jackson would decide what time he wanted to wake up and at the appointed hour a doctor would stop the intravenous drip that delivered the drug, the official said.
