Michael Jackson inquiry now a homicide case

July 31st 2009 by Taylor in Celebrities, Michael Jackson Comments Off
Michael Jackson inquiry now a homicide caseIn a further twist to the ongoing saga which has unfolded since the death of Michael Jackson on June 25, LAPD officers have now executed a search warrant to seize correspondence between Michael’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, and the Anschutz Entertainment Group [AEG] who were promoting his comeback concerts in London. But officers made it clear AEG were not the focus of these inquiries. The warrant named seven doctors who treated Mr. Jackson, including Dr. Conrad Murray, and lists 19 false names Michael is said to have used to gain illegal prescriptions. Dr. Murray’s spokeswoman, Miranda Sevick, said Michael hired the Doctor in May at $150,000 a month, and he had no connection with AEG. While people working for AEG refused to make any comment at all. According to court records, the warrant was focused on finding “shipping orders, distribution lists, and use records relating to the purchase, transfer, receiving and storage of Propofol.” Dr. Murray is known to have administered Propofol [a drug so powerful, it’s usually reserved for use in operating theaters] to Mr. Jackson on the night that he died. According to LA Times reports, the LAPD has now upgraded their inquiry to a homicide case, and subpoenaed medical records and other paperwork from both Dr. Murray and numerous other doctors who were known to have been working with Jackson. The LA Coroner’s Office has said that a final toxicology report, which will show just what drugs he had taken on that fateful night – should finally be released sometime next week. As if all that weren’t enough, on Monday, lawyers for Michael’s mom, Katherine, and two trustees of his estate, John G. Branca and John McClain - both longtime friends of the star - will ask a court to determine who has control of the singer’s vast empire. Katherine and Michael’s three children are currently the main beneficiaries, together with numerous charities to be chosen by the three plaintiffs – assuming they were able to reach a consensus. With his own recordings, plus the rights to the Beatles back-catalog, and merchandising and publishing rights, Michael’s estate is said to be worth hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars. Mrs. Jackson wants to be made co-executor, along with the two men, plus detailed proof of the exact nature of the relationship between them and her son. Lawyers for Branca and McClain are currently denying their clients are hiding such documents from Mrs. Jackson, and accusing her of trying to change Michael’s will to remove them from power. [And thus, all the money.] If this sad, sordid story was a movie-of-the-week, no-one would watch. The case is ongoing and we’ll keep you informed.

Joe Jackson confirms Michael’s secret son

July 30th 2009 by Brandy in Celebrities, Michael Jackson Comments Off
omer-bhatti You may have heard something about Omer Bhatti, the 25-year-old from Norway many suspect to be Michael Jackson’s secret son. Well, Joe Jackson today confirmed that it’s true. Michael stuck his penis in a real live girl one time.
“Yes, I knew he had another son, yes I did,” Joe Jackson told NewsOne/TVOne of the alleged love child. “He looks like a Jackson, acts like a Jackson, can dance like a Jackson. This boy is a fantastic dancer.”
I can understand looking and acting like Michael, but somehow I don’t think dancing like Michael Jackson is a genetic trait. There’s no gene for the moonwalk that I know of. And there’s no gene for being awesome like me either. I just threw that last one in there in case you were wondering.

July 29th 2009 by Brooke in Celebrities, Michael Jackson Comments Off

The LA coronor’s office is saying the results of Michael Jackson’s autopsy is probably being delayed.  Officials said the results were suppose to be released today but it looks like they will delay that until next week.  No reason has been given for the delay.

It is looking more and more like propofol was the cause of death. TMZ is reporting that  today L.A. County Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter just arrived at the Beverly Hills medical office of Dr. Lawrence Koplin, subpoena in hand.  He is on the hunt for Michael Jackson medical files. Apparently Dr. Arnold Klein performed procedures on Jackson in Dr. Koplin’s office and Fournier administered anesthesia.

Dr. Conrad Murray Gave Michael Jackson Drug Propofol That Killed Him

July 27th 2009 by Chelsea in Celebrities, Michael Jackson Comments Off
Dr. Conrad Murray pictures Michael Jackson’s personal doctor administered a powerful anesthetic to help the pop star sleep, and authorities believe the drug is what killed Michael Jackson. Read more on the latest on Michael Jackson’s death probe below. A law enforcement official told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because of the ongoing investigation. The official stated that Michael Jackson regularly was given propofol to sleep. And June 25, the day Jackson died, Dr. Conrad Murray had given the singer the drug sometime after midnight. Although toxicology reports are pending, investigators believe that propofol caused Jackson’s heart to stop, the official said. Dr. Murray, 51, has been identified in court papers as the subject of a manslaughter investigation and his office and a storage unit was raided in Houston last week. Police say Murray is cooperating and have not labeled him a suspect. Murray’s lawyer, Edward Chernoff, has said the doctor “didn’t prescribe or administer anything that should have killed Michael Jackson.” When asked Monday about the law enforcement official’s statements he said: “We will not be commenting on rumors, innuendo or unnamed sources.” Murray was hired on as Jackson’s personal doctor in May and was to accompany him to London for his shows that would have started in July. Dr. Murray was living with Jackson in a rented LA mansion. Murray’s lawyer, Edward Chernoff, said Murray found Michael unconscious in his bedroom the morning of June 25. Murray attempted to revive him but could not. Police searched Jackson’s home after his death and found propofol and other drugs, an IV line and three tanks of oxygen in Jackson’s bedroom, and 15 more oxygen tanks in a security guard building. Propofol is said to depress breathing and lower heart rates and blood pressure. Because of the risks of this medication, it is to only be administered in a hospital. Instructions on the drug’s package warn that patients must be continuously monitored, and that equipment to maintain breathing, to provide artificial ventilation, and to administer oxygen if needed “must be immediately available.” Jackson was said to have problems sleeping and the official said he used various doctors to administer propofol. Jackson would decide what time he wanted to wake up and at the appointed hour a doctor would stop the intravenous drip that delivered the drug, the official said. Michael Jackson Cause Of Death “Almost Certainly” Homicide!

July 25th 2009 by Chelsea in Celebrities, Michael Jackson Comments Off
Michael Jackson leaving a medical building Officials are now stating that the cause of death listed for Michael Jackson, King of Pop, will “almost certainly” be homicide. Read more on the Michael Jackson death investigation below. The LAPD has already been treating the investigation of Jackson’s death as a homicide for weeks, and recently documents were seized in what could lead to manslaughter charges. Jackson’s autopsy reports are expected to be released next week, after the  full toxicology results are known. Homicide detectives conducted a raid, and Dr. Conrad Murray has now been named as a suspect in the case. He is the doctor that was with Jackson during the last hours of his life. E-mails, computer hard drives and some medications were seized from Conrad’s officers earlier in the week. And recently it was revealed that authorities have found a secret stash containing “various drugs” - including Propofol (aka Diprivan), the powerful anesthetic believed to have killed Jackson… hidden in Dr. Conrad Murray’s closet at Michael’s home. The discovery of Propofol in the room where Murray lived in Jackson’s home is certain to have an impact in the manslaughter case the Feds and the LAPD are mounting against the doctor.

Michael Jackson rehearsal footage sold for $60m

July 24th 2009 by Taylor in Celebrities, Michael Jackson Comments Off
Michael Jackson rehearsal footage sold for $60mAfter a tense bidding war involving numbers that would make most of us blanch, Sony Entertainment has now won the battle, dropping a cool $60-million for all the footage from Michael Jackson’s numerous rehearsals and run-throughs for his ‘O2′ concert tour. But as part of the deal with organizers, AEG, the tribute concerts planned for London next month are now canceled. And this has upset a great many people. “The directors, dancers, cast and crew all extended their stays in LA after Michael’s death, worked on his memorial and the tribute shows – all because we were repeatedly told it would happen,” says one highly-placed - and very peeved - member of the “This is It” team. “Then we get a phone call on Thursday, saying it was all off, and that all work after June 26 was now considered volunteer work.” Having basically ‘inherited’ the star when they bought CBS Records for $2-billion in 1988, Sony made sure he repaid their investment with an exclusive contract worth $1-billion – the most lucrative deal ever signed by one artist. And they might need that kind of money to make this calm down: Not only have dozens of people now been told they were working for free, but rehearsal expenses are still causing pain. “Many of us paid out of our own pockets,” one upset source told The Scoop. “We did this with the assurance from Michael that we’d be paid, and collectively we’re out millions. And we don’t even know where to get the money back; His estate? Sony? It’s a nightmare!” The studio now plans to release the recordings as a theatrical movie sometime in October. Maybe then they can settle some bills?

Coroner Took Michael Jackson’s Records From Anesthesiologist

July 23rd 2009 by Brooke in Celebrities, Michael Jackson Comments Off

TMZ is reporting that  the L.A. County Coroner paid a visit to a Beverly Hills surgery center this week and took Michael Jackson’s medical records … and there’s a Dr. Arnold Klein connection, apparently Dr. Klein’s records led the coroner there.  The coroner is interested in procedures Dr. Klein did there years ago.

Sources say Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter went to see Dr. Randy Rosen, an anesthesiologist at the Spalding Pain Medical Clinic in Bev Hills. Sources say the coroner’s office became interested in the clinic — which is also a high-end outpatient surgery center — after Winter went to the medical office of Dr. Arnold Klein last week and obtained Jackson’s medical records.
