Heidi and Spencer Pratt seem to be willing to do just about anything to get away from the Costa Rican jungle and the set of “I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!” – and just about anything else to get back there. They’re like that couple that keeps breaking up and getting back together, and you can’t help but wonder if it’s because the make up sex is so great or they’re just comfortable with each other. Because you can tell just from five minutes with them that it isn’t because the relationship is so great.
Heidi and Spencer first left the show after learning they weren’t going to be housed in the Four Seasons and would instead have to live with the rest of the celebrities. Then they came back, because what’s the big deal with some snakes and dirt beds when there’s attention to be had? Then they left again (jungles are gross), and now they’re coming back for the (hopefully) last time.
Heidi and Spencer Pratt just can’t get enough of the jungle.
After several attempts to quit before officially leaving I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! on June 8, the Hills stars are returning to the show again, Usmagazine.com confirms.
The newlyweds will join the entire cast of the NBC reality series on the June 25 finale, a network source tells Us.
The last time the Pratts were in the Costa Rican jungle, Heidi was rushed to a local hospital to be treated for a gastric ulcer after spending the night in the “Lost Chamber.”
When they return to the show, they will be joined by Heidi’s sister, Holly Montag, who made her debut on the I’m a Celebrity last week.

Honestly I don’t blame them for hightailing it after the spider-dropping night in the “Lost Chamber.” And I’m no doctor, but I’m close (webmd is my BFF), and I don’t think there’s any way you could fake a gastric ulcer. Not that I feel badly for Speidi by any means, but I get where they were they were coming from.
In related news, Lauren Conrad says that Spencer never really apologized to her for spreading those sex tape rumors. The producers just filmed him talking into a phone: she wasn’t on the other end.
Lauren Conrad says Spencer Pratt never apologized for spreading those sex tape rumors.
In an interview on The View Monday, Pratt said he agreed to apologize to Conrad to get her to go to his wedding with Heidi Montag, calling his apology a wedding gift for his wife. (On the May finale, Pratt is seen calling Conrad at work and expressing his regret.)
But when Conrad appeared on The View Thursday, she smiled, paused and rolled her eyes when asked about the incident.
“Did you feel like it was a sincere apology when it came from him?” Elisabeth Hasselbeck asked.
“To be perfectly honest, I wasn’t on the other end of that call,” Conrad replied. “That was filmed, and I wasn’t on the other end. So I didn’t even know about it until [it was on TV]. So, no, I didn’t get an apology. He lied.”

Us Weekly]
My first thought was, “I’d be really pissed if that were my wedding present.” But then I remembered that Heidi’s present to Spencer was a
performance of her song “Sex Ed” – at their wedding. And since nothing could be worse than that, Spencer was really off the hook. “Off the hook” meaning the bar was set low, not “off the hook” like off the hizzle. Just wanted to clarify.
So when do the baby rumors start?

It’s official!
You won’t have to look at
Heidi or Spencer Pratt’s mugs on “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!” anymore.
Camp leader
Lou Diamond Phillips announced on the show that the Pratts were done, for good. He said that Speidi would “no longer be part of this competition.”
And to not even skip a beat, Heidi’s sister,
Holly Montag is jumping in the Costa Rican jungle to take her sister’s place.

Over the weekend,
reports claimed that Heidi Montag was rushed to the hospital for “convulsive vomiting” after she was forced to sit in a dark room for a day and a night with only water, rice and beans as punishment for trying to leave
I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here. One contestant compared the place to “Guantanamo Bay.”
At the hospital, Heidi was “diagnosed” with a gastric ulcer. The erroneous report continued that Heidi and Spencer wanted off the show, again, and this time wanted to sue NBC. The only problem with that is they signed a contract and their passports were taken away.
Today, an insider
tells Extra that Heidi is a liar. They say the two attention whores stayed in a hotel for 3 days while they stayed in the “Lost Chamber” for 14 hours and that the chamber posed no threat at all.
“Accusations that Heidi and/or Spencer were harmed in any way are untrue. They quit the show last Monday; stayed in a hotel for 3 days. Then on Thursday, they re-joined show and entered the ‘Lost Chamber.’ They stayed in Chamber from 4:30PM until 6:30AM.”
The source insists the Lost Chamber posed no harm to the “Hills” duo. “The environment in the “Lost Chamber” was not in any way harmful or dangerous; no critters, just a few ordinary bugs. They were indoors — never in any danger or facing life-threatening situations. Absolutely no one is or was being held against their will.”
Just for that, they should throw her in a real chamber filled with big non-poisonous scorpions and spiders with painful bites. But call it the awesome fantastic chamber so it doesn’t sound menacing. That way when Heidi is in there she won’t think it’s too bad. Until she starts getting stung and bitten and it starts feeling like she’s being stabbed with a hot, searing knife.
At that point she’ll probably start yelling stuff like, “This room is neither awesome nor fantastic and certainly not awesome fantastic.” But then the viewers, who are all sitting in egg shaped chairs stroking their white cats, will respond, “Oh, but it is, Heidi. It is to us. Muahaha. Muahahahha.”

Heidi Montag, now Heidi Pratt, was rushed to the hospital with a gastric ulcer while held in isolation on “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” Read more on Heidi Pratt’s condition below.
Heidi and Spencer Pratt had left the reality show, but decided to return. As punishment for leaving, the couple was held in a dark room for a full day with only water and rice and beans.
NBC execs were said to try and convince Heidi to stay on the set rather than take an ambulance to a hospital for treatment. Heidi was treated and released from the hospital.
Reportedly some cast members of the reality show want to quit, but their passports were taken and held. What the hell?
Paul Telegdy, NBC’s Exec VP of Alternative Programming, told Ryan Seacrest about holding Heidi and Spencer in isolation as punishment, adding, “…They are now going to be examined, and their value system utterly deconstructed …These people really are going to bare their souls.
Spencer Pratt, Heidi’s hubby, fired his lawyer that wanted him to stay on the show, and is also planning to sue NBC.
The Pratt’s definitely want out of the show now, but are under contract with NBC.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt quit the competition reality show “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here” after just one day, walking off set after filming the live show. When the two arrived back in LA late last night they were predictably mobbed by paparazzi at the airport, and chose to hide under a large black blanket to avoid being photographed. Radar Online
has the video if their arrival and it’s crazy. They hid under the blanket and were shuttled around by a helper while the paparazzi shouted at them.
Spencer twittered that he hopes that NBC will let them back on the show: “I am praying to Jesus to have NBC forgive me and allow Speidi back! The jungle makes you do crazy things.” I’ve never heard a celebrity refer to their nicknamed relationship in the third person. Can you imagine Brad Pitt saying something like “Brangelina enjoyed Cannes”?
Daniel Baldwin is thought to be ready to go on the show in their place, though, and he is said to already be in Costa Rica to support his brother Stephen, who is a current contestant.

The clips of this first episode that I’ve seen online are amusing as anything. In
one of those reflection interviews after the show Spencer blathers on about how he and Heidi are too good for the show while Heidi sprays her hair and fawns over him.
“I am a super celebrity. My wife is a super celebrity. Super celebrities don’t belong in the jungle, they belong in Hollywood with the paparazzi.
“We’re the most famous people in the world, so they want a shot at being as famous as us. So eating bugs and doing all that stuff will maybe they think make them more famous, but to us will just give us a stomachache.”
The two said they were ready to “run back to ‘The Hills’” on the show, but now they’re changing their tune and probably realize they need the publicity.
In another clip I saw from the show they
hilariously prayed with the wife of Rob Blagojevich, the scamming ex-governor of Illinois. Patti Blagojevich was genuinely touched by their prayers that her husband be exonerated, and she was reduced to tears.
As much as people deservedly dislike these bland newlyweds they did make the show interesting to watch. There’s real entertainment value to their arrogance. If they want to go back on, NBC might consider it. It’s the type of dramatic twist that reality shows thrive on.

Proving that neither Heidi Montag nor Spencer Pratt are indispensable, NBC has
already replaced the two after they both quit the show after only one day. Their replacements are Stephen Baldwin, 43, and Holly Montag, Heidi’s sister. They are being flown to Costa Rica at this moment.
Holly promises to stay longer than her sister. It’s believed the conversation went something like this: “Are you going to stay longer than your sister?” “I really need the money, man.” Holly is a pretty good negotiator.
A little off topic but how awesome is that picture of Heidi? I want to use it forever. Maybe even print a wallet size version to show people at dinner parties. That way everyone can have a good laugh at Heidi’s expense. It’d go really well with that other picture I have of that old lady falling down the escalator. Ha! Old age has caused her to lose her balance much easier. Sucker.

In the least surprising twist ever, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt quit “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here” after the very first episode. And I called it a “twist” and not a “plot twist” for a reason – this had nothing to do with lame reality show twists and turns. Heidi and Spencer just up and walked out after the end of the first live episode. Presumably breaking their contracts, and hopefully – if silver linings really do exist – ruining any potential careers they might have had.
Heidi and Spencer have followed through on their threat — they have quit the NBC reality show “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!”
A source close to production tells TMZ the “Hills” duo walked off the set for good after the live portion of last night’s show. It is unclear how the show will handle their leaving on tonight’s episode.
Guess they weren’t faking … for a change.
UPDATE — We’re told the Red Cross, the charity Spencer was playing for on the show, now wants nothing to do with the program. It’s unclear whether they would have received anything anyway — but regardless, the Spencer experience left a bad taste in their mouth.
[From
TMZ]
Honestly I’m surprised the Red Cross was ever willing to be associated with them in the first place. Who would want their name associated with Spencer Pratt? I don’t care if he saves a baby from falling off a skyscraper. If I were that baby, I’d be pissed at the mention.
According to reports yesterday, Heidi and Spencer honestly thought they’d be staying at a Four Seasons (while everyone else lived in the jungle) and eating separate – better – food than everyone else. Um, this show focuses on C-list celebs, and Heidi and Spencer are G-list, at best. What in the world made them think they’ve be treated better than all the other contestants.
“I’m a Celebrity” producers do seem to have a really great backup contestant. Daniel Baldwin – who’s brother Stephen is another contestant.
Guess jungle life isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. But not even helping charity could keep Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt from getting out of the NBC show I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here on the very first episode.
And, now there’s a surprise in store for remaining contestant Stephen Baldwin, 43, according to DailyFill.com – which reports that his older brother, Daniel Baldwin, is secretly in Costa Rica. Daniel, 48, is now poised to step in for the infamous Montag, 22, and Pratt, 25, who both twice threatened to walk off during the premiere episode.
A source also tells the site that another female replacement is in the works.
[From
People]
Now that is a good twist. And while Daniel Baldwin can be rather sanctimonious and annoying in his own way, it’s not in the “I truly hope evil befalls you” way it is with Spencer Pratt.
But here’s what’s most concerning to me: what’s going to happen to S
pencer’s opening credit rap for “I’m a Celebrity”? Are they going to re-score it? Would we be able to handle that? Don’t through the douche out with the … bathwater. Yeah I could have gone somewhere funnier with that joke… you get the point.

June 1st 2009 by Taylor in Celebrities, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt

In the saddest example of self-serving hype since their last one, Spencer Pratt and wife Heidi Montag have told NBC they may quit their roles on ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here,’ because they’re not being treated like fully-fledged stars.
Debuted by ABC in 2003, the Brit-imported show dumps C-list celebs in the heart of a jungle for 30-days and requires them to complete certain tasks to earn their release. The two ‘Hills’ alumni arrived in this year’s location of San Juan, Costa Rica on Wednesday, and have been bitching and moaning about life ever since.
According to network insiders, they began by protesting the level of ‘fame’ enjoyed by their peers [this season’s cast includes Stephen Baldwin, Sanjaya, Lou Diamond Phillips and Rod Blagojevich’s potty-mouthed wife.]
Then they refused to eat the same food, and were even convinced the whole trip would be spent in a Four Seasons Hotel, with free room service and exercise bikes.
The situation became so strained, NBC’s Executive VP of reality programming, Paul Telegdy, had to fly to the set to calm the overgrown two-year olds down. And whaddya know…it seems to have worked! Scenes shot on Sunday for tonight’s two-hour debut include a contest in which Spencer eats a live stick-insect and Heidi chows down on [what looks like] a scorpion.
And while engaged in devouring his slithering snack, Spencer, 26, delivers a quote that provides ample proof of the cause of their tantrum, “I’m going to be a billionaire by 2010.” he’s seen to declare.
The new season debuts tonight at 8pm ET. If you can endure it, let us know what you think.
