The ugly divorce battle that painted Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez as a serial adulterer has quietly ended. A-Rod and his estranged wife Cynthia have settled their divorce, says the
New York Daily News. The settlement brings an end to the ex-couple’s five year marriage, as well as their months-long public fallout which saw various reports link the Yankees all-star to Madonna.
A terse statement released by the superstar ball player’s lawyer, Alan Kluger said:
“Cynthia and Alex Rodriguez have amicably resolved their dissolution of marriage proceedings. They deliberately engaged in a private negotiation. This was and remains a personal family matter for both of them.”
Take that as no details of the settlement were revealed. What we do know is, A-Rod was posturing that he was only willing to give Cynthia what was required in their prenup and threatened to make her pay his legal fees if she challenged the agreement and lost. Meanwhile in her divorce petition, Cynthia Rodriguez, 35, demanded the couple’s $12 million waterfront estate in Coral Gables, Fla., and “equitable distribution” of all assets acquired during the marriage. She also asked for alimony and child support from A-Rod, who made $28 million this season. She asked for life and health insurance and enough to pay for private schools so she and their two daughters can maintain the “high standard of living” they’re used to.

New York Post claims A-Rod’s wife is now “seeing” Lenny Kravitz who, of course, used to “see” Madonna . . . repeatedly against the wall into the wee hours of the morning. To recap: A-Rod’s wife, used to bang A-Rod, now banging Lenny Kravitz. Madonna, used to bang Lenny Kravitz, now banging A-Rod. Yankee superstar Alex Rodriguez’s marriage is kaput, sources told The Post. A-Rod’s wife, Cynthia, has been shacked up with rocker Lenny Kravitz in Paris.
The stunning news emerged a day after revelations that Alex Rodriguez has been paying late-night visits to Madonna’s Upper West Side apartment. Cynthia Rodriguez, 34, has been in Paris for at least the past four days visiting Grammy-winner Kravitz. C-Rod was seen outside the 44-year-old Kravitz’s pad in the romantic City of Light as recently as Tuesday night.
Well at least there’s no kids involved.
[Alex and Cynthia’s] two daughters - 3-year-old Natasha and 2-month-old Ella - remained in Miami, sources said. (Source)
