The star of the cool spy show “Burn Notice”, Jeffrey Donovan,  was arrested for driving under the influence in Miami. Read more on Jeffrey Donovan’s arrest below. Jeffrey Donovan, 41, was arrested for DUI and released a few hours later. The Miami Beach Police Department said one of their officers noticed Donovan’s car swerve to avoid hitting his police car.  And when Donovan finally pulled over, he said, “Sorry, I didn’t see the red light or your stopped car.” The police officer smelled alcohol on his breath and asked Jeffrey Donovan if he’d been drinking.  Donovan answered that he had some wine while at the Fountainbleau Hotel. Donovan was given a field sobriety test and failed.  At the time he said,, “The only mistake I made tonight was drinking Benadryl with 3 glasses of wine.” Whoops! Billy Bob Thornton’s oldest daughter, Amanda Brumfield,  was indicted on Wednesday on charges including first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter. These charges for Brumfield stem from the October 2008 death of a 1 year-old girl while in her care. Read more on this story below. Amanda Brumfield, 29, was booked at the Orange County Jail, and is being held without bail, reports the Orlando Sentinel. When Brumfield was arrested this month, she told detectives that the little girl she was babysitting hit her head in a fall. Amanda Brumfield said she called for help more than two hours later after being unable to revive the child, said police. The 1 year-old girl’s autopsy revealed a fractured skull and brain injury, leading the medical examiner to rule the death a homicide. Police said Brumfield’s explanation was inconsistent with the child’s injuries. When Brumfield was arrested, a publicist for Thornton told CNN that the actor, 53, and his daughter are estranged, “and [he] has had no contact with her for quite some time.”

69-year-old Phil Spector has been sentenced to 19 years to life in prison for the 2003 shooting death of Lana Clarkson. The Los Angeles judge gave Spector 15 years to life for second degree murder and an additional four for using his own gun. He was also forced to pay restitution. Spector plans to appeal. Good luck with that. He’ll have an easier time breaking out of prison with a rock hammer.

Rock music producer Phil Spector was found guilty of second-degree murder in the shooting death of film actress, Lana Clarkson, at his mansion six years ago. Read more on Phil Spector’s conviction below. The jury returned the verdict after about 30 hours of deliberations. They reportedly had the option of choosing involuntary manslaughter, but did not choose that route. The jury also found Spector guilty of using a firearm in committing a crime. Weirdo Phil Spector showed no emotion or reaction to the verdict. His attorney argued that he should remain free on bail pending the May 29 sentencing, but Judge Larry Paul Fidler denied the request. Second-degree murder carries a penalty of 15 years to life in prison, and the gun charge carries up to three years in prison. Spector’s young wife, Rachelle, cried as the decision was announced. This was the second trial for Spector. The first jury deadlocked 10-2, favoring conviction in 2007. Lana Clarkson, 40, the star of the 1985 cult film “Barbarian Queen,” died of a gunshot fired in her mouth as she sat in the foyer of Spector’s mansion in 2003. Clarkson had met Spector only hours earlier at her job as a nightclub hostess. Prosecutors stated Spector had a history of threatening women with guns when they tried to leave his presence. But the defense claimed she killed herself. The murder case was a flash from Hollywood’s distant past, a reminder of the 1960s when Spector reigned as the hit maker supreme with such songs as the Righteous Brothers’ “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’” and the Ronettes’ classic, “Be My Baby.” Spector, 69, who had long lived in seclusion at his suburban Alhambra “castle,” was out on the town in Hollywood when he met Clarkson on Feb. 3, 2003, at the House of Blues. Clarkson was a tall, attractive, blond actress, who had just turned 40 and unable to find acting work. She was currently working as a hostess.When the club closed in the wee hours, she accepted a chauffeured ride to Spector’s home for a drink. But then three hours later she was dead. Spector’s chauffeur, the key witness, said he heard the gunshot, then saw Spector come out holding a gun and heard him say: “I think I killed somebody.” Defense attorney Doron Weinberg disputed whether the chauffeur remembered the words accurately. In closing arguments, Weinberg listed 14 points of forensic evidence including blood spatter, gunshot residue and DNA, which he said were proof of a self-inflicted wound. “It’s very difficult to put a gun in somebody’s mouth,” he said. “Every single fact says this is a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” Weinberg argued. “How do you ignore it? How do you say this could have been a homicide?” But prosecutors said Spector was dangerous, a man that became a “demonic maniac” when he drank and had a history of threatening women with guns. They also contended blood spatter evidence proved that Clarkson could not have shot herself. Just like the first trial, testimony was given from five women who told of being threatened Phil Spector when he was drunk, even held hostage in his home, with a gun pointed at them and threats of death if they tried to leave. Remember Coolio? He had that resurgence in Dangerous Minds and then fell off the earth. Anyway, he’s back in the news again. This time not for a catchy hip-hop song in a Michelle Pfieffer movie, but for being in possession of crack cocaine at LAX. Coolio was heading through security to board his Southwest flight to play a concert at the Flytrap Music Hall in Tulsa when a screener discovered the coke on his person. He wasn’t too thrilled and “got physical” with the screener. LAX police then booked him. He should have done what everyone else does and hid it in his rectum. Try getting a poorly paid screener to put his hand up there. Especially when you swear to them you’ll enjoy every minute of it.

Beauty queens sure are getting a bad rap lately. Over the last few years there was Miss Nevada Katie Rees, who was caught drinking underage, using cocaine, and performing various lewd acts in public with other female contestants. Then she was arrested and looked ugly – the greatest insult of all. There was Miss Arizona contestant Kumari Fulbright, who teamed up with an ex-boyfriend, his brother, and a third man, to kidnap and torture another ex-boyfriend. She too was also guilty of taking a really horrible booking photo. Miss New Jersey, aka Amy Polumbo was blackmailed with some not-very-racy photos that had been on her Facebook page. And Miss Puerto Rico, Ingrid Marie Rivera, was poisoned with pepper spray a year ago. And that is to say nothing of the embarrassing stumbles, excessive partying, and issues with Donald Trump that have plagued several beauty pageant constants. Clearly, it’s dangerous to be involved in the beauty pageant circuit – either because you’re going to be harmed or because you’re probably crazy. Or just very, very stupid. And today we have a perfect example of the latter.

Miss Teen Louisiana USA Lindsey Evans and three friends were arrested over the weekend for leaving a Bossier City restaurant without paying their bill. Police say the 18-year-old Evans of Blanchard left her purse at the restaurant and the women were arrested when they returned to get it. Police spokesman Mark Natale says Evans and her friends were booked Saturday night on charges of theft after they ran up a $46.07 bill and left without paying. He says the women admitted intentionally leaving without paying their bill. In addition to the theft charge, Evans was booked with possession of marijuana that was found in her purse. The other women face similar charges. All four were released from jail Sunday after posting bond. Evans’ reign as Miss Teen Louisiana ends in November. A spokesman for the Miss Louisiana Teen USA organization says they spoke with Evans on Monday but have not decided whether to take action against her. That action could include her losing her title.

Not because the crime was so out of this world horrible – clearly I’ve just demonstrated that beauty queens are very likely to poison each other with pepper spray and/or kidnap and torture ex-boyfriends. Running out on a bill and smoking a little pot is nothing. But this girl is dumber than all the other beauty queens, and that says something. There should be consequences. Or at least lots of shame. Former Denver Broncos running back Travis Henry has been arrested following an alleged cocaine deal. Henry was arrested Tuesday after a “multikilogram” drug deal. Travis Henry gets around and has nine children by nine different women. Maybe Travis Henry’s new “drug dealing” career was to pay all that child support? Former Denver Broncos running back Travis Henry was arrested Tuesday by the Drug Enforcement Agency after an alleged “multikilogram” cocaine transaction in Colorado. This dude, Travis Henry, is said to have nine children from nine different mothers. What the hell? Do you think he was trying out a drug dealing career to be able to pay all that child support? This guy should have kept it in his pants! Travis Henry and James Mack are being held pending the filing of federal drug charges in U.S. District Court in Denver later today, the DEA said in a news release. Hadley Engelhard, Travis Henry’s agent has not made a statement yet. Henry, 29, played 12 games for the Broncos last season, starting seven, after stints with the Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills during his seven-year NFL career. Travis Henry appealed a failed drug test that would have cost him a one-year suspension from the NFL, claiming that a positive test for marijuana was due to secondhand smoke. He agreed to lie-detector and hair-sample tests to prove his innocence to Broncos coach Mike Shanahan. He passed both of those examinations. But Travis Henry was suspended by the NFL for four games in 2005 for repeat violations of the league’s substance-abuse policy and by league guidelines would have been given a one-year ban for another positive test within two years. Henry and James Mack were arrested a day earlier after the two met to buy cocaine from a person who was cooperating with authorities, according to an arrest warrant affidavit. Oops! Mack and Henry were being held on suspicion of knowingly and intentionally conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine. Heather Locklear arrested in California for suspicion of driving while impaired. Poor Heather, she recently had a stint in rehab, and now this arrest! Actress Heather Locklear was arrested yesterday on suspicion of driving while impaired. Heather was arrested and held Saturday night. Heather Locklear was pulled over by cops while driving in the Santa Barbara area of California. Police say that alcohol was not involved in the incident, however they are conducting tests to determine if Locklear was under the influence of drugs. Locklear was released on her own recognizance and did not have to post any bail. This could make the custody battle a bit ugly between Heather Locklear and ex-husband, Richie Sambora, now that both have been arrested on similar charges. Richie Sambora pleaded no contest to his DUI, and had his daughter Ava in the car during his arrest. Heather was said to be by herself in the car when she was arrested. Former Nebraska running back, Thunder Collins, was arrested on Wednesday for murder! Collins was arrested a day after a person was shot and killed, and a second person was wounded in a shooting In Omaha. Police stated that Timothy Thomas was killed in the shooting, and his body was found in a home on 70th Circle. In addition, Marshall Turner was injured in a nearby shooting. Turner was found in a parking lot on 72nd street. Police do believe the two shootings are connected. The arrest warrant for Thunder Collins was issued Wednesday morning, accusing him of first-degree murder, and attempted second-degree murder. Collins is also said to face felony weapons charges. Another man, Karnell Burton was arrested on suspicion of criminal homicide, attempted first-degree murder, and two weapons charges. Then a third man, Ahmad W. Johnson, 21, was also named in the same arrest warrant, and Johnson is a suspect in connection with the shooting. Thunder Collins was on the University of Nebraska Cornhusker’s football program during the 2000-2001 seasons. After Collins left, he has faced several legal problems, and has served jail time for domestic violence. Omaha police are not releasing the victims’ names and refused to confirm Collins’ arrest. British singer, George Michael, was arrested on drug-possession charges Friday in a public bathroom near his home in North London. George Michael,45, was caught using a small amount of crack cocaine and marijuana in the public toilet.

A London newspaper has reported that police officers were given a tip by the restroom attendant, that George Michael was using drugs in the public restroom. Police arrested George Michael for drug possession, and took to a North London police station where he received a cautionary warning and was released after he accepted responsibility for carrying the drugs. Wow, a slap on the wrist!

“The caution was [issued] for the possession of Class A and Class C drugs, cocaine and cannabis,” a spokesperson for Scotland Yard told the Telegraph. “He was released and no further action will be taken.”

This isn’t George Michael’s first run-in with cops, and public restroom-related incidents either. In 1998, Michael was arrested outside of a men’s restroom at theWill Rogers Memorial Park in Beverly Hills, California, and charged with “engaging in a lewd act”.

George Michael pleaded no contest to the lewd charge, and was given 80 hours of community service. This was the time that the public became aware that George Michael was gay. Millions of his female fans sure hated to hear that!

In February of 2006, Michael was arrested in London and charged with possession of Class C drugs, after police found him slumped over in a car. Then in May of the same year, George Michael was once again found passed out in a car, and a guy woke him up and he drove off, striking a traffic divider. Then in October of the same year, he was again found unconscious in his Mercedes, and was taken to the hospital, later charged with marijuana possession. The singer was banned from driving for two years.

George Michael revealed his addiction to prescription drugs last year, blaming his behavior on a “self-destructive” impulse after the death of his mother.
